1 - find a smooth pebble and draw your owl in pencil

2 - paint in the main blocks of colour. I used Matt paint (the type you paint your bedroom walls with as it doesn’t dry shiny.

3 - add details like the spots on the owls chest, eyes and beak etc. Use a black ink pen to draw the eyes and outline of the beak.

4 - yay

I designed a minimalist poster for the London 2012 Olympic Games. I focused on the support given by people, in this case I looked at street parties by displaying flag bunting hanging from street lamps.. I think I may make a set of 3 or 4 by focusing on different aspects in each design hmmm…

This has kept me busy this fine Saturday evening / Sunday morning :) I was just messing around with different types of symbol / icon shapes (anchor, leaves and keys etc)

This is my second and final stage / draft of my Lana Del Rey drawing, now I’ll scan it into Photoshop and make it even prettier - oh and I’m thinking of doing a time lapse video of me drawing another portrait but I don’t know who to draw! Reply to me with some interesting celebs I should draw :)

I re drew Lana Del Rey! Unlike the old drawing which you can see a few posts down on my blog, this one actually looks like her! She’s so beautiful so I had to make sure I drew it so she was more recognisable. - It’s done in graphic fine liner pens, that’s it :)

I tried to draw Lana Del Rey using her Q Magazine cover photo as reference. I was mainly interested in the style / lines of the hair so the actual drawing didn’t look all that much like her in the end, either way I’m happy with the outcome of
the hair especially.
